Interested in visiting First Presbyterian Church of St. Louis? We look forward to meeting you! Here’s everything you need to know…

Location and parking: First Presbyterian Church of St. Louis is located at 7200 Delmar Blvd. in University City, at the intersection of Delmar and Midland just west of the Loop. There are a few parking spaces (including several disabled spaces) on the parking lot behind the building (enter the one-way drive off of Delmar); or you may park on the street in front of the church, which is Overhill Drive. See a map here.
Disabled access: From the disabled parking spots on the back lot, you may access the ramp into the church basement. An elevator will take you to the main level where the Sanctuary is located.
Schedule: Our Sunday worship begins at 10:30 am in the sanctuary. Optional adult and children’s education and music programs begin at 9 am; adults meet in the Fellowship Hall and children meet in the various classrooms on the main and upper levels.
Arrivals: When you arrive for Sunday worship, you’ll be greeted by one of our smiling ushers, given a nametag and asked to sign the guestbook. Feel free to sit anywhere; note that there are two pews on the right side of the sanctuary equipped with listening-devices for those who have difficulty hearing.
Dress: We are a casual congregation; you’ll see people dressed in jeans and T-shirts as well as suits. Come as you are.
Worship: Our worship is a mix of traditional and contemporary elements; we follow the Presbyterian order of worship that leads us to enjoy God and one another. A service typically includes a sermon, several hymns, sharing of the peace, a children’s sermon, time for prayer and meditation and is filled with uplifting music. The bulletin clearly lays out the service and will show you when congregants are asked to stand, sit or respond. (We do not ask visitors to stand and identify themselves during worship.)
Communion: We celebrate Communion on the first Sunday of each month. At First Presbyterian, all are welcome to God’s table. Communion is typically taken by intinction; those wishing to take Communion are invited forward to break a piece of bread and dip it into the cup.
Children in worship: Children of all ages are welcome to remain in worship through the entire service; however, nursery is available if desired for children ages second grade and younger. Worship journals and clipboards with crayons are available from an usher at the back of the sanctuary.
Fellowship: A time of fellowship follows each service in the Fellowship Hall. Refreshments include coffee and cookies or other goodies provided by church members.
